Lady_of_Consolation,_Carey,_OHWith summer just ahead, vacation plans are underway. How closely do our travel habits resemble the instructions Jesus gave the apostles before sending them out on the road. In the Call Me Catholic Countdown, Peggy shares her family’s top five rules for road trips.

Knight of Malta, Tom Markel and his wife Helene have visited nearly a dozen Marian shrines, run with the bulls in Pamploma, skiied some of the world’s highest peaks, walked the Camino to Santiago de Compostela and explored African wilderness. Tom asserts that wherever they travel, they are pilgrims not tourists – an attitude that has enriched their Catholic faith immeasurably.

World explorers Tom and Helene Markel continue the discussion of how to travel as a pilgrim, not a tourist. Listeners are encouraged to call in with their travel questions or comments.

In Chatting with Catholics, Peggy talks with a couple who experienced a miracle through their visit to Lourdes.
