Call Me Catholic provides food for thought today as we explore the different ways in which we can feed the hungry.
Chef Bruno Serano established his landmark restaurant The Anaheim White House in 1987 but it was his commitment in 2005 to feed hungry kids in the area that made him a national hero. He talks with Peggy about his youth dinner ministry and the academy he recently founded to help at risk teenagers train for a career in hospitality.
Listeners are invited to call in and share their experiences of “feeding the hungry” or questions for restaurateur Bruno Serno at (714) 282 6034.
In our Call Me Catholic Countdown, Peggy lists her top five favorite items to pack in a sack lunch.
In Chatting with Catholics, Peggy takes her microphone to a local Catholic Church where parishioners weekly prepare sack lunches for the homeless and ask them why they are drawn to this ministry.
